What Can We Accommodate?

Most Common Food Allergies

Peanuts: Peanuts are a common allergen, especially in children. Symptoms can range from mild reactions like rashes and hives to severe anaphylaxis. Tree Nuts: This includes allergies to almonds, walnuts, pistachios, cashews, and more. Similar to peanut allergies, reactions can vary greatly in severity. Milk: Often confused with lactose intolerance, a milk allergy involves an immune reaction to the proteins in milk, and can cause symptoms like vomiting, hives, and potentially anaphylaxis. Eggs: An egg allergy is most common in children and can cause skin reactions, respiratory problems, and anaphylaxis. Some people are allergic to just the white, just the yolk, or both. Soy: Soy allergy is more common in children than adults, and reactions can range from mild to severe, including anaphylaxis.

Most Common Dietary Restrictions

Our products are Gluten-Free by default as we are a gluten-free bakery. We do not use anything that contains gluten or wheat. Gluten-Free: People with celiac disease, wheat allergy, or non-celiac gluten sensitivity follow a gluten-free diet. This means avoiding wheat, barley, and rye, as well as any foods containing these grains. Vegetarian: A vegetarian diet involves not eating meat, poultry, or fish. Some vegetarians may choose to include dairy products and eggs in their diet. Vegan: A vegan diet is a stricter form of vegetarianism where one avoids all animal products, including dairy, eggs, and honey. Some vegans also avoid animal-derived products in non-food areas. Lactose-Free: Those with lactose intolerance avoid dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt, as their bodies lack the enzyme (lactase) needed to digest lactose, a sugar found in dairy products. Low-Carb/Ketogenic: People on a low-carb or ketogenic diet limit their carbohydrate intake (often for weight loss or health reasons) and increase their consumption of proteins and fats. Paleo: The Paleo diet, or Paleolithic diet, involves eating foods that our hunter-gatherer ancestors supposedly ate, like lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Low-FODMAP: This diet is often recommended for people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It involves limiting foods high in certain carbohydrates called FODMAPs. Allergen-Free: Some people must avoid certain foods due to food allergies, such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, and wheat.

Most Common Allergies Associated With Bakeries

Our products are Gluten-Free by default as we are a gluten-free bakery. We do not use anything that contains gluten or wheat. Eggs: Used in many bakery products, egg allergies can cause skin reactions, respiratory problems, and anaphylaxis. Milk: Baked goods often contain milk or milk-derived ingredients. Milk allergies can cause symptoms like vomiting, hives, and anaphylaxis. Tree Nuts and Peanuts: Many baked goods may contain or be cross-contaminated with tree nuts or peanuts. These allergies can cause severe reactions, including anaphylaxis. Soy: Soy is often used in baking and can cause reactions from mild hives to severe anaphylaxis. Sesame: Used in some baked goods and as a topping on breads and pastries, sesame allergies are increasingly common and can cause severe reactions. Latex: Found in gloves used for food preparation or cleaning, people with a latex allergy can experience skin irritation, hives, or even anaphylactic shock. Cleaning Chemicals: Those with chemical sensitivities or allergies may react to the cleaning products used in a bakery environment. Symptoms can range from skin and eye irritation to respiratory difficulties. Food Dyes: Some people have allergies or sensitivities to food dyes used in decorating pastries and cakes. Reactions can include hives, itching, and wheezing.
